Rasma assists in planning and administration of the NEPCon training services, supporting the work of the Training Manager and Headquarters.
Rasma helps ensure smooth running of the NEPCon training programmes. She also provides various assistance to NEPCon management and Headquarters work.
She serves as the main contact person for the potential participants of the various NEPCon-organised courses such as FSC, Chain of Custody, LegalSource for experts and auditors. Rasma updates and posts the training information on the NEPCon website, communicates with the potential and registered participants, takes care of practical arrangements, training records and certificates.
Rasma previously worked as Programme Assistant at the US Embassy in Riga and later as Information Manager at the EU supported Estonia-Latvia Cross-Border Cooperation Programme in Tartu, Estonia.
Earlier, Rasma had spent time with small local communities, doing field research in the settlment of Vecpiebalga, Northern Latvia. From such practical work and studies, Rasma believes the involvement of local actors such NGOs, non-formal groups, educational institutions and small businesses, is crucial in the rural and regional development.
Rasma joined NEPCon in August 2016 and is replacing the Training Assistant Jeanna Rhae Ilves during her maternity leave.
I like to see how small practical things and values that we share locally affect the bigger picture. Being in NEPCon means being in a very positive chain of developments, and I am happy to apply all my practical skills to be part of it.
